Designed a solution with a sense of responsiveness and fun that allowed users to easily see the values of different product placements, while still being in keeping with the visual language of the larger product it sat within. To date the feature has led to several handraisers for PQS and has indirectly generated 6-figures of revenue for YouGov.
Role UX/UI Designer
Context
Following a product-led growth strategy for some of the products in their innovation unit, YouGov wanted to build a "Lite" version of a dashboard for valuing product placements in TV shows and Movies.
The dashboard would allow users to simulate the value of a product placement in any TV show or movie, and included an FAQ to educate users and a call to action underneath to allow them to handraise. The purpose of the feature was to drive new revenue opportunities for YouGov PQS, YouGov's product placement valuation solution.

Problem
First Version
Second Version
Our goal was to make the calculation simulation as easy, interactive, and engaging as possible. We focused on keeping the UI clean and simple while ensuring the information remained relevant and useful.
The first version featured a saved view section, allowing users to store their calculations. To make figures more visible, we added real-time data updates at the bottom, reflecting changes as users adjusted the sliders. Instead of just displaying the 'Placement Quality Score,' we included average viewership and net placement to give users a clearer understanding of how their PQS was calculated.
End Product
We removed saved views from the modal to create a cleaner, simpler interface that appeared when users clicked 'Avg. Placement Value.' Sliders replaced manual number entry, making the experience more intuitive and engaging. An FAQ section and 'Learn More' CTA provided additional support for this new product
